Surrounded by olive and citrus groves, the charming Villa Alivia is a true gem with high ceilings, spacious sun-flooded rooms and high glass windows and corridors. Alivia is a two-floor luxury villa that can house up to 7 guests. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a private iridescent swimming pool and lush garden, this is a magnificent place to have a relaxing vacation.
Every single detail is perfected in this villa’s interior and exterior design. Built by famous Greek architects, to an Italian design, the fusion is truly fruitful. On the ground floor there is a luxurious open space with living and a dining area, a kitchen equipped with the best quality appliances and an entrance to the outside lounge. A private swimming pool is filled with crystal clear fresh water (can be heated against an extra charge €40,-/day) and the garden offers plenty of shade amongst the orange trees. In order to get to the other wing of the villa, you will walk through a glass corridor which gives a great architectural twist. You will then come to 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. The shower is an experience guests are not likely to forget!
The ground floor offers a sun-drenched bathroom featuring marble and stone surfaces, with a WC, spacious hydro massage shower, and heated towel rail. There are a range of complimentary Cretan toiletries, which are produced using local organic ingredients.
The impressive master bedroom with a king-size bed sits on the first floor. A beautiful en suite bathroom consists of a well-crafted marble-panelled bath tub with Jacuzzi, shower, a WC and ‘his & hers’ basins in the same open-plan space. The master bedroom also has a writing desk and chair for those who need to work whilst they are away. The room also has a 42" LCD TV for snuggly nights in. From the outside lounge on the first floor you can enjoy a stunning sea view.
Outside is an extremely large fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area and lawn for children to play. These facilities are easily accessible from all three villas. A built-in BBQ, wood burning oven and professional cooling system allow you to make your own al fresco dinner or even enjoy one prepared from a private chef. We were travelling with 3 teenagers (15, 16 and 17). The villa location is excellent, about 15 minutes from Chania and it is perfectly situated to use as a base to visit western Crete. The villa itself is upscale, beautifully decorated and really has all of the amenities that one might need. Despina is a charming hostess, always ready to help out with useful information. Last but not least, there is daily maid service (Kudos to Maria for keeping the household in perfect order). The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures on their website. thank you Despina for a superb week!

Great hospitality of the owner who covered us with presents and gave us excellent tips what to visit and where to go.During our stay the air was filled with a wonderful scent of orange blossoms from the orange trees that surround the house. In a calm and silent setting in the middle of olive orchards with a great view over the mountains and the sea it was a very relaxing stay.
The house could also be a stylish loft in New York.

A true Cretan Hideaway yet only a few minutes drive from the hustle and Bustle of all the tourist hot spots. The villa was beautiful and well planned out. It gave the feeling of Crete yet had all the mod cons one could ask for. The service was superb and Despina was there every step of the way. Whenever we wanted to go out to lunch or dinner, her recommendations were spot on. We stayed for 11 nights in the villa and sampled the culinary expertise of the in house chefs who were amazing. We will definitely consider a repeat journey.

We arrived home only yesterday and, although it is good to be home, we have wonderful memories of our trip to Greece! The best part of our trip was undoubtedly, our stay on the beautiful island of Crete. They are many reasons for this but one of them is definitely our stay at Villa Alivia. The Villa itself is a masterpiece of architecture, it is functional and beautiful. No amenity is missing. Despina, the owner is ever so helpful as well as reliable and discrete. She is the perfect hostess! The location of the villa is ideal to use as a base to visit all of western Crete. It is great to come home (yes, it felt like that) after a day of hiking, exploring beaches or visiting Chania. There is also daily maid service (except Sundays) such that the villa is impeccable upon returning from an excursion. Another perk is the presence of many orange trees: we made our own fresh squeezed orange juice every morning!
