" Having once previously visited Crete we were keen to return to a beautiful island with stunning scenery and wonderful friendly people. We were looking for something special and came across the 'Luxury Villas on Crete' website. This site was very professional in its look and feel and it was easy to navigate. Upon making an enquiry and throughout the booking process the ladies at Luxury Villas on Crete couldn't have been more helpful. Replies to any contact I made was very quick and informative and payment was made easy with gentle reminders of approaching due dates. We selected villa Apoi which is one of four villas within the group called Adeste Villas. This was a very well equipped, well presented luxury villa and included some of the essentials such as unlimited air con, as well as nice touches such as use of a local mobile phone, and use of a Ipad mini. The vista's over Souda Bay are excellent and the sunsets gorgeous. The location is also great for local shops and Taverna's, beeches and Chania. The villa was very comfortable with its own pool and a very warm personal welcome from Jon, who showed us around and was available to answer questions and give advice. The welcome pack was also extensive with fruit, wine, milk, butter, eggs, bread and of course Raki. there were dishwasher tablets and washing powder should you want it.
The villa was maintained daily by Jon and his team of two ladies who made beds and cleaned bathrooms, just like in a high standard hotel. However non of this was intrusive. The villa itself was first class, with high quality furniture, fittings, bed lining towels and robes and slippers. The only suggestion I would have, and these are minor - that whilst I don't go on holiday to watch TV, with flat screens in every room perhaps access to some UK channels would be a benefit. An additional bolt to the front door for security whilst you are in residence, as the front door is opened via a hotel type key card so a physical bolt make provide extra reassurance when you are at home. All in all a first class villa being operated on the style of a 5 star hotel.
A wonderful holiday supported by the great people at Luxury Villas in Crete, and Adeste Villa's, we will be returning"

We stayed for two weeks in August 2015 and we loved it. The photos don't lie, it's a beautiful villa - built, furnished and maintained to a very high standard. The pool, views and sunsets were magnificent, so too the local tavernas (ask John and Gemma who run the villa for advice). Genuinely, we would recommend it to anyone.

The experience we had a Villa Apoi was nothing short of perfection. The Villa itself is stunning. The amenities are 6 star, and the views, well, postcard perfect is the only way to describe them. From the very beginning, Gemma and John were amazing. Their welcome was warm, and the walk about through the Villa was thorough and complete in every way. They were always available if we had any questions. Like the security blanket we never needed to use. Just to know that they were but a phone call away made all the difference. The Villa was spotless upon arrival and maintained at the same impeccable level throughout our stay.Every aspect of the Villa was spot on. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was exceptionally well designed and all 4 bathrooms were magnificent. It is very clear that our Villa was constructed without cutting any corners. The finishing was first class. Then, it only got better!!!! We engaged the services of your chef for our breakfasts. Each morning we awoke to the smells of out-of-this-world Cretian cuisine. We had the honour of being treated like royalty by Stella. This lady is not only a great chef, but a warm and caring human being with a heart of pure gold. As amazing as Villa Apoi was, Stella made everything ten-fold better. My entire family considers her to be a friend and we will definitely stay in touch. One of our most memorable dinners was at Emerald, the restaurant in Plaka, owned and operated by Stella and her Husband, Master Chef Christos. Between Stella's knowledge as a Sommelier, along with the absolute brilliance of Christos we had a meal that would garner 3 Michelin stars for quality and creativity. Be careful, you may loose them to Paris, New York or London. The team of Stella and Christos are pure genius. We have been fortunate to travel and experience many amazing restaurants but Emerald stands out amongst the best. We truly miss them very much.Crete, it's people,it's rich history, amazing beaches, Villa Apoi, Gemma, John, Stella and Christos made this our most wonderful family vacation ever. We would most definitely consider a return visit.

We stayed in villa Apoi in June 2013 after searching on the web for a villa with good design in mind. Villa Apoi caught our attention and since it is brand new, we thought it would be nice to visit it before it gets fully booked! Although it is part of a villa complex and it is set in an amphitheatrical plot, we did not feel disturbed by our neighbours. The villa has such great views from EVERY room and the owners went to great lenghts in order to guarantee a great stay for us – they even provided a new iPad mini with many useful apps and interesting music libraries. All their recommendations were updated and gave us a chance to «do as the Cretans to» while being there. What we specially enjoyed was the time in the pool as it has direct access from the living room and the kids enjoyed so much the paddle pool in the corner. Also, the hot tub in the upper floor terrace was a delight when the air becomes cooler after the wonderful sunsets! The village is quaint, although it needs to get rid of the basketball hoops from the square since it spoils the otherwise authentic scenery. But, it was such a convenience to walk just 300m if you need any grocery supplies or sit down to eat at the village taverna. We ordered in sometimes from a local restaurant in Plaka and almost everything was perfect and reasonably priced. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the owners are planning to turn the complex into an all villas resort in the future with a reception/play room area and permanent assistance for planning excursions, booking restaurant tables etc. Hopefully next time we visit, we can try their new facilities as well!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the entire team: Yorgos, Irene and Natasa (one of the owners and responsible for the wonderful concierge service). We were quickly shown to the rooms and the many facilities, but from the moment we stepped in we set our eyes to the pool area: although it is not the biggest pool you will find, the exteriors resembled those of a luxury hotel with large stone tiles and expensive teak furniture. (The kids loved the pool toys as well!) The iPad provided for free was preloaded with guide boooks, great music (looooved the selection) and travel magazines we devoured… The welcome basket was one of the best I have received – we did not have to go the supermarket for some days and since we were all children free we received a special signature welcome cocktail made of prosecco and bitter almond juice.I personally enjoyed more the jacuzzi area: it is not next to the pool but on the top floor terrace, thus enjoying privacy and breathtaking views of Souda Bay and the White Mountains. Villa Apoi does not simply offer a beautiful setting for your vacation: without being intruding, the staff provides excellent guidance, a 24/7 online concierge service that booked excursions, restaurant tables for us and even ordered in meals – hot and yummy- from a local restaurant .Finally, upon our departure Natasa offered to the ladies of the groups a set of chic handmade accessories I am planning to wear for the rest of the summer! Thank you, guys for the effort!

My Family and I spent a week in one of the Adeste Villas and it was superb. From the interior finishings to the lovely pool and amazing sunsets, you can tell no effort is spared and they thought of everything. We were greeted at the airport and shown the way by the owners who were extremely helpful in providing all the tips needed on the Beaches, restaurants and shopping. The Town centre is about 25 mins by car and has a good vibe. There is a local beach near by 2 minutes by Car which is beautiful, but we spent more time in the pool and admiring the views.if you want to relax with the family (we have 3 young daughters) this is certainly the place. Restaurants nearby do deliver and the property has all you need if you want a good home cooked meal. Will recommend for anyone with a family and Crete is just stunning.
