Q: Who is Luxury Villas on Crete?

A: Luxury villas on Crete is specialising in renting high quality villas to holiday makers. The company was founded in 2008 and since then its collection of luxurious villas was enlarged to almost 100 hand-picked beautiful villas all over Crete. Each property is personally inspected by our team, we meet the owner and explore the sourroundings to be able to describe every detail to our guests. Luxury villas on Crete assists their guests with requests for car rental, airport transfers, private chef services, baby sitter or anything else that one needs for flawless holiday.

Q: Why choosing a villa for my holiday? 

A: As you explore more the collection of our villas, you will understand that many of them are cheaper than hotels of the same quality and standard. Villa rentals offer more privacy, comfort, and freedom than hotel rooms. Each villa offers a fully equipped kitchen, a private pool, an outdoor and indoor dining areas, outdoor spaces, gardens etc. When four or more people are traveling, a rental is usually considerably less expensive than staying in hotel rooms. If you consider all the benefits and amenities of a private villa, you will quickly realize that villas offer superb value. (Remember to compare rates per room/ per night).

Q: Do all villas have an official rental licence?

A: Yes all the villas a provided with an EOT licence that is necessary for all villa rentals. You can find it at the end of each villa's description. 

Q: How can I reserve a villa?

A: You can send us a request via our website for a specific villa or send us a direct email. We will advise you what villa suits best your wishes. When we find the best property for your perfect holiday on Crete we will send you a Quote with full price and a Booking form with reservation and payment details. 

Q: How can I do the payment?

A: In order to secure your booking we would require a 30% deposit and the balance will be due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. The payment can be done via bank transfer or you can pay with your debit/credit card. (debit/credit card payment fee will be charged on Visa +1,6%, Master Card +1,8% and American Express +3,5%)

Q: What does the rental price include?

A: Villa rental rate includes taxes, electricity and water fees, internet connection, linen and towels and cleaning service frequency of which depends on each villa. There are no additional charges unless you book extra services such as private chef, daily maid service, pool heating or similar.

Q: How do I know my reservation is confirmed?

A: You will receive an email when your payments arrive to the company’s or the owner’s account. This email serves as your booking confirmation.

Q: What is the cancellation policy? 

6 weeks or more prior to an arrival 0% cancellation fee will be applied. Within 6 weeks prior to an arrival 100% cancellation fee will be applied. No-Show or earlier departures 100% cancellation fee will be applied. Cancellation fee is calculated on the total amount of the reservation. A cancellation policy of specific villas may differ and is presented in the Booking form.

Q: Is travel insurance necessary?

A: Yes, it is strongly recommended that you arrange comprehensive travel insurance to include accommodation cancellation. 

Q: Why do you require my flight details?

A: These details are passed to the villa owner so that should you not arrive at the villa at the expected time due to a flight delay he can follow on your arrival time. Please send us your arrival time and flight number and departure time and flight number. 

Q: Where shall I rent a car?

A: We will be happy to assist you with a car rental. In case you are arriving to Heraklion airport we will be happy to book you car at our partner who operates on East part of Crete and if you are landing in Chania airport we will recommend you several reliable rent a car companies. Q: Where shall I book an airport transfer?

We will be happy to assist you with an airport transfer. In case you are arriving to Heraklion airport we will be happy to book you a transfer at our partner transfer company. Visit our section “SERVICES” and learn more about the rates and options.

Q: What time is the earliest check-in and latest check-out time?

A: Majority of the villa offer flexible check-in and check-out time. Please note that if your arrival day is a changeover day (guests are leaving the villa on the same day) the check-in time will be around 15:00, but not later than 17:00. If your departure day is a changeover day (new guests are arriving on the same day) the check-out time will have to be maintained at 10:00. 

Q: Who will be welcoming me in the villa?

A: Prior to your arrival you will be provided with a local contact number of the villa owner or property manager who will be at your assistance anytime. Your local host will be also welcoming you as well, will take you around the villa and make you familiar with the surroundings. 

Q: Is it possible to book a private chef?

A: The majority of our villas offer exclusive private chef services against extra charge. Please inform us about this request when booking or before your arrival.  

Q: Is it possible to book daily maid service?

A:  The majority of our villas can offer daily maid service against extra charge. Please inform us about this request when booking or before your arrival.  

Q: Are bath and beach towels and linen provided? 

A: Bed linen, bath and beach towels are provided at all our properties. The bath towels are for inside use only. The frequency of towels and linen change differs at each villa. 

Q: Are an iron and ironing board provided?

A: Yes, at majority of our villas. 

Q: Are hairdryers provided?

A: Yes, at majority of our villas. 

Q: Are there BBQ facilities at the villa?

A: Yes, majority of our villas provide our guests with BBQ area and necessary equipment. Charcoal can be purchased upon your arrival at local supermarket.  

Q: Is it possible for the swimming pool to be heated?

A: Several of our villas offer the service of heated pool at extra charge. Please refer to a description of each villa. 

Q. What can I do if I leave personal belongings in the villa?

A: Please bear in mind it is your responsibility to ensure that all your belongings are removed from the villa at the end of your holiday. Before departing from your accommodation please ensure you check the villa thoroughly for your personal belongings i.e. the safety box, wardrobes, drawers, under beds, bathroom cabinets, clothes line etc.
