Our family stayed at Villa Omikron in July’17. The villa was newly completed early 2017 and was recommended to us by Audrey at Luxury Villas on Crete. We were not disappointed. The owner Mr Markakis welcomed us at the villa on arrival and visited us on our day of departure – tell him we have already used the Cretan cook book he kindly gifted to us!. The villa grounds were wonderful – from the magnificent swimming pool to the outside dining areas and the fantastic sea and city views, it was a memorable experience. The quality of the villa interior was of a high standard, as was the state of the art air conditioning system, which ensured an even temperature that suited us all – especially at night. There are great local tavernas that were recommended to us, (Limanaki in particular) and we also experienced great restaurants in nearby Heraklion. This was a truly 5 star experience and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break in luxurious surroundings. As usual, many thanks to Nikos who’s excellent car hire service chaperoned us to and from the villa in a separate car (with our luggage), and the wonderful meals cooked for us at the villa by Eleni and Yiannis. Lastly a big thanks to Audrey, Eva and the team at Luxury Villas – great service again!

Absolutely loved Greece and Crete and plan to come back.
Our group of seven (two families with four adults and three teen-age kids) stayed at Villa Omkiron for four days in July 2017. It was our first time in Crete and we immediately fell in love with the island. Staying in such a spacious, clean, bright and relaxing villa was the perfect backdrop as we explored the island. The owners met us upon our arrival and were so welcoming and kind. They left lots of treats for us to enjoy, including home-made baking. The villa is so spacious there was lots of room for all seven of us.We especially loved the pool, the huge outdoor balcony (with about four separate seating areas including a hammock) and the wood burning pizza oven. My husband loves to make homemade pizzas so we took advantage. Just up the road (about a five minute walk if that) is a great authentic Greek restaurant where we ate twice. The owner (Nic) was so kind and generous and kept giving us complimentary food.
Loved the villa and would definitely come back to explore more of the island.
